The interior of this periphery would target the states of, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia! Indeed, these are some of the states that invoke olde grandeur, abundant gardens, elegance and certainly an era gone by.

For brides searching this website, seeking fabulous venues, and they ALL are fabulous venues, it would only seem natural that you seek authentic southern flowers.
Most of us conjure up a dream, a preconceived notion, of flowers and decorating, linking to that rich history of our south and to one of the great venues, featured here. Perhaps we can help you visualize the complete look, the genuine ambience reflective of these stately mansions.

Brides, let’s take a mind’s eye tour! We will transport ourselves to your wedding day! On this journey, we can experience true southern elements! Imagine all of the flowers listed below gracing your ceremony area, tall luscious centerpieces sit on Battenburg lace linens, adorning your guests tables, and your bouquet is the hallmark of the day! Maybe you will use antique tea pots, with matching demitasse cups, or fine ornate silver?

Here is a sampling of olde southern favorites, still alive and well today. They have been preserved in our gardens and in our memories:

• Camellias – In soft colors with the dark leaves showcasing the blossoms
• Gladiolus – An oldie for sure, but let’s reinvent this classic, perhaps striping the blooms from the hardy stem for men’s body flowers and lady’s epaulettes
• Gardenias – The sweet aroma wafting on the breeze
• Roses – Large and small, closed buds and full blown open florets and a loose petal carpet
• Ivy – The romantic foliage, en masse, that drips, cascades and flows
• Mosses – Green sphagnum and Spanish, summoning thoughts of a casual stroll through a shady garden
• Peonies – Shake off the ants and inhale it’s fluffy beauty,
• Lilies – Arranged so very naturally as indigenous flora would grow
• Hydrangea – Heavy clusters of multitudes of dime sized flowers
• Queen Ann’s Lace – No longer the garden odium, think lacy and airy
• Lily of the Valley – A sweet, dainty, celebratory flower
